Lets admit it. Moving while on your period sucks! Especially if you have a menstruation related disorder. Every month I literally feel like I am actually sick. AND I AM!
What sucks the most is that now I have to continue with my commitment to Yoga and move in a various of poses….and hold them! This is why using youtube for your yoga routines is amazing.
I searched “yoga and your period” and got two wonderful videos that I have used this morning and yesterday morning. Takes some time to watch prior to getting on your mat. Check and see if you are up for TRYING one of these yoga routines.
Remember that it is always important to give thanks to your body, even if it is plotting against you.
Overall these videos made me feel much better than prior to getting on my mat. And that is what it is all about.

This first routine is for your WORST of the WORST days of your period. It requires pillows and towels for comfort and propping. Who doesn’t want to do yoga with pillows?! This is a quick 16 minute routine because I just couldn’t commit to anything longer.
This next video has some poses that are a bit more difficult, especially if you are a beginner. It is also a short routine, at 15 minutes. But remember that is all it takes, just commit to 10-15 minutes to move and bring center to yourself for the day.
